Are YOU sailing the 7 C’s to Success in your business?

Are YOU sailing the 7 C’s to Success in your business?

Are YOU sailing the 7 C’s to Success in your business?

What are the 7 C’s? I will be introducing the 7 C’s to success in my blog. I invite you to try one “C” a day for the next 7 days. You will need all the 7 “C’s” to be successful in biz and in life. First “C” is COURAGE!

Courage.        cowardly-lion

It all starts here. You have to have COURGE! Before starting anything, any project, any class, any writing, anything…You have to have COURAGE! Courage is a mindset. The fear never really goes away (that’s how our reptilian brain works), yet we don’t have to dwell in fear.

There is a quote by Aristotle that says. “You will never do anything in this world without courage. It is the greatest quality of the mind next to honor.” I say, to succeed, we need to feel the fear, gather the courage and do it anyway, whatever the “it” is. The lion from the Wizard of Oz has a very famous quote, too. In the movie, he says…

“Courage! What makes a king out of a slave? Courage! What makes the flag on the mast to wave? Courage! What makes the elephant charge his tusk in the misty mist, or the dusky dusk? What makes the muskrat guard his musk? Courage! What makes the sphinx the seventh wonder? Courage! What makes the dawn come up like thunder? Courage! What makes the Hottentot so hot? What puts the “ape” in apricot? What have they got that I ain’t got? And Dorothy, the Scarecrow and the Tin Woodsman say “Courage!” The Cowardly Lion says “You can say that again! Huh?”

So after all his bluster, the Lion is still the cowardly Lion. We can talk a big game, but it’s our courageous action that meets the challenge. I love Dale Carnegie’s action quote:

“Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.”

What’s holding you back? What’s the ONE step you know you need to take to be successful that you are not taking? What small action can you take today to move closer to that goal?

    Stopping by from UBC

This is a fabulous post on courage, what it is, and that it is clearly not the absence of fear but rather acknowledging the fear and pressing onward, upward, and forward.

    Can’t wait to read more!!

I’m bookmarking your site so I can read all 7 parts to this post! I love it! What is holding me back is just my own physical limitations. I can only sit at the computer just so long at a time to get busy on my 1st book! But that can’t be helped because I have fibromyalgia and am disabled. I realize that starting the book is a fear too. Because once I start something I am committed to it. I don’t have any phobias but I do want to take it very seriously when I start this book. Thanks for your encouraging words! Will be back tomorrow! EXCELLENT writing!

Yeah – can’t wait for the next 6 C’s! “Courage” will be a tough one to beat!

What’s the one step I need to take . . . personal contact. I’ve identified people that my tribe follows. I know I offer services these individuals don’t. Now it’s up to me to make the connections with these professionals!

Stopping in from UBC. Great post! My dad always use to tell me that courage is something that would make a rabbit spit in a bulldog’s face. Looking forward to reading more!
